About the Author

pE T E R     H. jones

A self-taught author driven by a deep love for high fantasy, sparked decades ago by reading The Lord of the Rings. With no formal training, he poured years of personal passion into writing The Wind in the Forest, a richly layered fantasy novel centered on perseverance, transformation, and redemption.

Influenced by legends like Tolkien, Ursula K. Le Guin, and Terry Brooks, Peter didn’t aim to imitate he wanted to infuse his own life and emotions into the story. Each character carries pieces of him, even the flawed ones, making the world feel raw and real.

Despite early rejections and learning curves like mastering the point of view, Peter persisted, guided by his mantra: “Keep moving forward. Solve problems. Never give up.” The novel’s emotional heart lies in its characters and their growth, with Peter often moved to tears during key scenes a sign, he says that he’s truly connected to his work.

He writes for readers who crave character-based stories that explore real human struggles in a fantasy setting. Looking ahead, Peter is already expanding his fantasy universe with sequels and prequels. More than just a writer, he believes in storytelling as a moral force in a noisy digital world that teaches compassion, resilience, and unity. You can learn more about his work on Peter H.
